The death of a British soldier was reported on social networks by his family. They said that Jordan Gartley died in Severodonetsk.
Gartley reportedly left the British Army in March “to continue his career as a soldier in other areas.” Shortly thereafter, he flew to Ukraine to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces fend off Russian troops and train Ukrainian soldiers.
The family of the British military said that on June 10 they learned that their son had been shot dead in Severodonetsk.
Jordan and his team took such pride in their work and he often told me that the missions they were undertaking were dangerous but necessary. He loved his job and we are so proud of him. He really was a hero and will forever remain in our hearts,” said the father of the deceased soldier.
The second British soldier who died in Ukraine
- Many foreign soldiers from different countries came to Ukraine to defend our territory from invaders from Russia. Jordan Gartley became the second British soldier to die in Ukraine.
- At the end of April, British soldier Scott Sibley died in Ukraine. He was a veteran of the British Armed Forces and was the first British citizen officially killed during the war.

Russia storms Severodonetsk
The Russian armed forces have been continuously trying to capture Severodonetsk since the end of May. On the morning of June 12, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russians once again tried to storm Severodonetsk, but failed.
According to preliminary data, the Armed Forces of Ukraine control a third of Severodonetsk. The relevant information was announced on June 11 by the head of the city military-civilian administration of Severodonetsk, Alexander Stryuk.
