On Friday, February 23, the United States introduced a large-scale package of sanctions against the aggressor country. Joe Biden announced this on the eve of the second anniversary of the full-scale war in Ukraine.

The US President said that we are talking about more than 500 new sanctions against Russia for the war of aggression against Ukraine and the death of Navalny. Biden told who exactly the restrictions concern.

Putin will pay an even greater price for his aggression

These sanctions will target individuals associated with Navalny's imprisonment, as well as the Russian financial sector, military industrial base, procurement networks, and sanctions evaders on multiple continents. They guarantee that Putin will pay an even greater price for his aggression abroad and repression at home, the US President emphasized.

Also added that they are imposing new export restrictions on almost 100 organizations who support the Russian war machine.

“We are taking action to further reduce Russia's energy revenues. And I have ordered my team to increase support for civil society, independent media, and those who is fighting for democracy throughout the world,” Biden emphasized.
