There was no street lighting in Kharkiv for more than a year. This led to frequent accidents.
In Kharkiv, street lighting will be partially returned. According to Mayor Igor Terekhov, at first the lights will be turned on in the city on central highways and busy highways.
The streets of the city were not illuminated for almost a year.
Street lamps will work from 18:00 to 19:30 in test mode. They will evenly expand the geography of inclusions and increase the operating time of the lamps.
The other day I had successful talks with those responsible for security. We have reached an agreement that we will begin to highlight the central highways and other, the busiest automobile routes, – Terekhov said.
Terekhov expressed hope that this would contribute to the safety of Kharkiv residents and reduce the number of accidents.
