Ukrainian athlete Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk became vice world champion in athletics.

At the world championship in Budapest, Hungary, she won a silver medal in the triple jump. With a result of 15.00 meters, she lost only to the Olympic champion, Yulimar Rojas from Venezuela (15.08 m). Bronze went to Cuban Leyanise Pérez Hernandez (14.96m).
