On July 15, 2024, the volunteer hacker community, together with cyber specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, attacked about 100 web resources in the space of the aggressor state of Russia.

As of July 16, the list of attacked Russian sites continues to “lie” 39 of them.

Cyber attack on Russian websites
The cyber attack was aimed at destroying internal information of companies serving clients from the Russian public sector involved in the war against Ukraine.
In particular, the following were defeated:
- MITgroup – a group of companies engaged in the development of corporate websites;
- Perm Industrial Equipment Plant is an enterprise that produces and supplies lifting equipment for industrial facilities;
- United Crane Technologies – a trading and production company for the manufacture and sale of lifting equipment;
- RUMOS-LADA – dealer of LADA cars.

As a result of the cyber attack, the appearance of the aggressor’s affected web resources has undergone certain changes – now, instead of the sections familiar to Russians, only a pig’s head and the error code “404” are visible on the sites.
