For psychological effect: Syrsky on Russia's attempts to reach the borders of Donetsk region

The Russian Federation does not abandon its attempts to break through to the administrative border of the Donetsk region, trying to achieve not only operational results, but also to create a psychological effect.

About this Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky reported.

So, the Russians want to “put up the infamous ‘leg of the Russian soldier’, stick in a flag and trumpet about another pseudo-victory” in order to create a demonstration effect.

“The Russian sabotage and assault groups were especially active here two weeks ago. But they were all destroyed or neutralized, and the remnants were pushed back further from the administrative border,” he added.

Syrsky noted that the situation remains under control.

Situation in the Pokrovsky direction

Syrsky devoted the day to a working visit to the Pokrovsk direction. He noted that this section remains the hottest among the entire 1,200-kilometer zone of the front.

Every day, at least fifty combat clashes occur here. It is in this direction that the Russians have created the largest group – about 111 thousand personnel, Syrsky reported.
