This was announced on April 29 at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was noted that the 1st Tank Army, the 20th Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District, the 35th Combined Arms Army, the 68th Army Corps of the Eastern Military District and the airborne troops are operating near Izyum.
“In order to provide additional transfer of troops in the Izyum direction, the occupiers are bringing additional pontoon-bridge crossings across the Seversky Donets River,” the General Staff noted.
What is happening near Izyum
Russians increase pressure in the East. As of April 28, units of airborne troops and about 500 pieces of equipment arrived in Izyum.
In addition, the rashists elected a new leader of the offensive. We are talking about the head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov. He has already arrived in the Kharkiv region.
The situation at the front: briefly
