The reason for the crash of the Ukrainian An-26 aircraft in Zaporozhye was fog and low flight altitude.

This was reported in the Zaporizhzhya OVA late in the evening on April 22, on the day accident.

As a result of investigative actions, it was established that the cause of the crash was fog and low flight altitude, due to which the aircraft caught high-voltage power lines, the administration said.

What is known about the plane crash

• The plane crash occurred at 09:00 in the morning near Mikhailovka, Zaporozhye region.
• An-26 was performing a technical flight from Zaporozhye to Uzhgorod and had no relation to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
• As a result of the accident, one person died and two were injured of varying severity.
