Due to flooding, train service was temporarily limited at several stations on the blue line, and some stations were completely closed.
The acting head of the Kiev Metro municipal enterprise and the head of the track, tunnel structures and buildings service of the Kiev Metro utility company were exposed for official negligence, which led to an accident in the metro.
According to the investigation, the destruction of the elements of the Kyiv metro tunnel continued for fourteen years. But these officials hid the facts of the critical condition.
Thus, in the winter of 2023 between the stations Demeevskaya — Lybidskaya there was an emergency flooding of the tunnel and subsidence of the soil above it.

As a result of the accident, temporary ground transport routes were forced to be launched, which caused damage to the territorial community of Kyiv for more than 138.5 million UAH.
In turn, the Kiev metro suffered losses of almost 26 million UAH.
Investigators announced to metro officials a suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — official negligence, for which they face up to five years in prison.
