Ukrainian Armed Forces launched offensive operations in the South. The de-occupation of these territories will have consequences not only for us, but also for the aggressor country, in particular its top leadership.
This Channel 24 was told by political and economic expert Valery Klochok. He is convinced that the liberation of the Kherson region will entail certain processes in Russia itself. “How critical they (these processes – Channel 24) will be or sufficient for Putin to leave his post is still difficult to say, because he keeps the situation under tight control,” the political scientist says. According to Klochko , in the event that Russian troops leave some Ukrainian territories, the terrorist president will say that this was their task, to which they made every effort and finally reached the goal. There are no limits to Putin's deceit and hypocrisy. He will pass off any action as a victory, and, unfortunately, the vast majority of Russians will believe him. At least for now, he believes. The political scientist also noted that Putin is a murderer, but not fool. He is well aware of the current situation in Ukraine and the cause-and-effect relationships, and is also well aware of his risks. Therefore, he is trying in any way possible to keep the situation at the front in the status quo for as long as possible. The statements of Putin, all his apostates and friends clearly show that the Russian dictator is seeking negotiations. “It is very important for him now to fix positions, achieve a ceasefire and make the situation the way it has been since 2014 in Crimea and on temporarily occupied territories of the East of Ukraine – in Donetsk and Lugansk regions. This is his goal and this will be a victory for him,” Klochok explained. However, it will not be possible to achieve the desired path for sure. After all, the Ukrainian authorities in this context spoke clearly and understandably – so far there can be no negotiations with Russia. They will become possible only when the Russian troops withdraw from the territory of Ukraine. Valery Klochok believes that although the news about the offensive of Ukrainian troops in the South will affect Russian society, this will not lead to a turning point. According to the political scientist, it will become possible when the current leaders and high-ranking officials of Russia begin to tell the truth to their citizens. The fact is that the level of trust in them is very high. When the leadership of the state tells the Russians that they have been lied to all along, this may get a reaction. For example, as it was during perestroika in the 1980s, because then the situation in the former Soviet Union seriously changed. Under such conditions, a similar turning point is possible in Russia, then the change of the elite will begin. But for now, according to the expert, it's too early to talk about it.How objectively Putin assesses the situation
