Calendar of the Ukrainian national team in the Nations League-2024/25
In the opening round, Sergei Rebrov’s team will play a nominally home match against Albania on September 7, 2024. In the final round, the Ukrainians will play the return match with the Albanians on November 19, 2024.
- First round. September 7 (21:45), Ukraine — Albania;
- Second round. September 10 (21:45), Czech Republic — Ukraine;
- Third round. October 11 (21:45), Ukraine — Georgia;
- Fourth round. October 14 (21:45), Ukraine — Czech Republic;
- Fifth round. November 16 (19:00), Georgia — Ukraine;
- Sixth round. November 19 (21:45), Albania — Ukraine.
Updated regulations of the League of Nations
UEFA has slightly updated the tournament regulations. Previously, for example, the team that won its group in League B was promoted to the top division, and the team that took fourth place was relegated. Now every occupied place in the quartet has become important.
According to the changes, if Ukraine takes first place in the group, it will rise to League A. If it becomes second — then will play play-offs with the team that finishes third in the League A group.
Third place will also mean play-offs, but for the right to remain in the division against the team that takes second place in the League C group. Fourth place, as before, will mean a relegation in class.
The places that the participants of the 2024/2025 Nations League take will determine which group, with four or five teams, they will be in in the 2026 World Cup qualifying.
