County Fire Chief Curtis Lawrence said the fire quickly spread to several commercial buildings and caused numerous smaller fires in nearby areas.

The fire covered an estimated 80 acres. Helicopter video showed white smoke billowing from the roof of the burning building, followed by a large explosion and fireworks.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. There is no evidence of foul play, according to the sheriff's office.

Drones are being used to assess the damage. There is no information about casualties.

The authorities announced an evacuation for residents of nearby areas, but later some people were allowed to return to their homes.
