Finland will help restore the infrastructure in Ukrainian cities, which was destroyed by the Russian occupiers. The state will also support the education reform in Ukraine.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmihal. The heads of government of Finland and Ukraine agreed to involve the country in upgrading the infrastructure using advanced technologies and European parameters.
“We expect to reach concrete projects in the near future in order to be ready to start work as soon as possible”, – said Schmigal.
Also during the meeting in Kyiv, Prime Minister of Finland Sanna Marin and Denis Shmihal signed an agreement on the continuation of the Finnish Support for Ukrainian School Reform project until 2023. It provides financial support from Finland in the amount of up to 6 million euros and 2 million euros from the European Union.
We highly appreciate and will never forget the solidarity of the Finnish people, their moral support and numerous donations for international humanitarian organizations to help Ukraine,” added the head of the Ukrainian government.

Marin and Shmihal also agreed on close coordination of interaction within the EU. In particular, about Finland's assistance in implementing reforms in Ukraine on the way to EU membership.
The Prime Minister of Finland stressed that Ukraine is actually a member of the European family. According to her, the Finnish side, together with the European Union, will support Ukraine at every stage of accession to the EU.
