Finland has nothing to do with it: why Putin decided to create the Leningrad Military District

by alex

Putin suddenly began to threaten Finland because of its accession to NATO, which happened back in April 2023. Now he announced the creation of the Leningrad Military District. The reason here is quite curious.

The channel's presenter told Channel 24 about this “Khodorkovsky Live” Sergei Aslanyan, noting that it is extremely unlikely that Putin would risk attacking Finland, which is now a NATO member.

What could be the consequences of creating a new one

As Aslanyan emphasized, military-administrative reforms in Russia are always have predictable consequences. Here we are not talking about strengthening the occupying forces or any preparation for a possible attack. Everyone is doing this because of corruption.

All such reforms in Russia have always been aimed at enriching certain people. Now, obviously, a new number of colonels have arisen there who need to be made generals. But there are no corresponding positions yet. That's why you need to create them. The same thing happened at one time with the Russian grouping in the Arctic.

This is being done because the number of colonels they would like to give a general “title”. But there are not enough positions. Then you can make at least 15 generals with general salaries, apartments and new positions that should serve these 15 generals. They will also be able to dispose of the land,” Aslanyan noted.

Putin threatened Finland: briefly

  • Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an interview with propagandists, complained that NATO had drawn Finland into its fold. He convinced that Russia was supposedly interested in developing relations between the countries.
  • At the same time, he immediately began to threaten Finland – he began to say that there were no problems, but now there will be. And then he said that he would create the Leningrad Military District.
  • Putin also held a traditional press conference on December 14, which he canceled last year. This time he again fantasized about “victories” and said a lot of different nonsense.
