In the Kupyansk district of the Kharkov region, near the village of Novomlynsk, Russian troops attempted to seize a bridgehead on the right bank of the Oskol River. The enemy, having a numerical advantage, crossed the river.
The Defense Forces conducted an operation in the Novomlynsk area
Despite the enemy's attempts to advance, the Ukrainian military stopped the Russians. With the support of artillery and drones, our defenders managed to drive the invaders out of the occupied territory.
– In particular, soldiers of the 8th separate assault battalion of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade Edelweiss cleared the area in the vicinity of Novomlinsk from enemy forces, – the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement.

As a result of the actions of the Ukrainian defenders, the occupiers were successfully destroyed. As noted by the General Staff, the right bank of the Oskol is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Ukrainian flags are flying over Novomlynsk.
