The battles for Severodonetsk continue/News beezer

And in the area of u200bu200bthe settlement of Bobrovo, the enemy suffered losses and retreated to previously occupied positions. Attack aviation forces launched air strikes in the Ustinovka area.

Head of the Luhansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai said the day before that Russian invaders are no longer advancing in Severodonetsk, Luhansk region. Moreover, the city is under the Ukrainian flag.
Fighting continues in the villages on the outskirts of Severodonetsk, Gaidai explained.
The official also said that the enemy continues to shell the entire Lugansk region, and Severodonetsk is actually trying to be wiped off the face of the earth.
Why it is important for the Russians to capture Severodonetsk
Advisor to the Head of the President's Office Aleksey Arestovich explained why it is so important for the Russians to cordon off Severodonetsk with its subsequent infatuation. First of all, this is a large knot of Ukrainian defense. Its elimination will only play into the hands of the Russian army. The second reason is the extreme cities in the Luhansk region. After them, it will be possible to reach the borders of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Thus, to fulfill one of the “subtasks” of the Russian army – the capture of the entire Donbass and Lugansk region.
True, the territory of the Donetsk region is still quite large. And if the occupiers continue to advance at such a pace, when they spend a month and a half on one city, then they have not so many opportunities to capture Donbass. Indeed, according to Arestovich, during the capture of Popasna, the Russian army lost from 60% to 80% of the personnel and equipment that went to capture the city.
For the invaders, the capture of Severodonetsk will be the second big success after the capture of Mariupol.
