Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico and the head of the Ukrainian government Denis Shmygal will hold a meeting in Uzhgorod, Transcarpathian region on Wednesday, January 24.
Robert Fico stated this on Slovak Radio. He announced a new package of humanitarian aid, but noted that Slovakia intends to block Ukraine's accession to NATO.
Fico's scandalous statement about territorial “compromise”
The Slovak Prime Minister called Ukraine a state that is allegedly under the absolute influence of the United States. Robert Fico hinted to journalists that Ukraine would allegedly have to give up part of the territory of the Russian Federation.

According to Fico, he plans to confirm to Shmygal the information that Ukraine will not receive any weapons from Slovakia.
— I will tell him that there are things on which we have completely different opinions. We respect when it comes to joining the EU, but they must fulfill the conditions. It will not be the case that a country that absolutely does not meet any requirements will join the EU, — stated the Prime Minister of Slovakia.
However, he noted that he sees no obstacles to the commercial supply of weapons. Fico explained that anyone who wants to can earn money in weapons. He noted that if Slovak companies cannot make a profit, then American ones will make money.
Slovakia is against Ukraine joining NATO
At the same time, the Slovak Prime Minister wants to announce to Denis Shmygal that he is against Ukraine’s full membership in NATO.
According to Fico, he intends to veto and block the entry, otherwise it will supposedly become the foundation for the Third World War.
