The Netherlands will send F-16s to training centers in Romania, and Bulgaria will train pilots from Ukraine in English/Collage 24 Channel

Training of Ukrainian pilots on Western fighters F- 16 is gaining momentum. Yes, the Netherlands promised to send aircraft “in a few weeks” to the training centers for our pilots in Romania.

At the same time, Bulgaria will be one of those countries that will engage in language training for pilots from our state. In particular, Bulgarian instructors will teach pilots English.

Romania will send aircraft to training centers in Romania

Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren noted that that Dutch F-16 fighters will soon be sent to a training center in Romania so that Ukrainian pilots can train on these fighters.

Ollongren also expressed satisfaction with the progress made in establishing an F-16 training center in Romania, stressing that the process is going “very well.”

We hope to transfer 12 to 18 planes within a few weeks. This means that the center can begin its work, the minister emphasized.

At the same time, the head of the Dutch Ministry of Defense did not specify when exactly her state would be able to transfer the first F-16 fighters to Ukraine. However, she recalled that they are talking about 24 fighters, the rest of which will be used for training purposes.

Bulgaria will teach our pilots English

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said on October 12 that he met with his Bulgarian counterpart Todor Tagarev. In particular, the ministers signed a memorandum expanding the scope of cooperation between our states, including cyber defense, strategic communications and military-technical support.

This document also lays the foundation for future defense engagement and military cooperation. In addition, Bulgaria will help with English language courses for future Ukrainian F-16 pilots, Umerov emphasized.

Finally, the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense thanked Minister Tagarev and the entire Bulgarian people for their “vital support.”
