Fear of Russia is stronger

Sheina noted that with such statements, Duda puts the country at risk. According to him, there is a growing risk that Russia could send its missiles against Poland.

The official does not believe that Putin will use nuclear weapons against Ukraine.

We must first look at what the whole security concept looks like, whether it includes (the Nucelar Sharing program – Channel 24), and whether NATO expects this from Poland, – said Sheina.

At the same time, the official added that if the allies decide that the nuclear weapon should be in Poland, Warsaw must agree to it. However, the head of the Foreign Ministry clarified, such a situation has not yet happened.

Nuclear weapons in Poland: what is known

• A week ago, Polish President Andrzej Duda said that his country was ready to host NATO nuclear weapons. The head of state said that this issue has been on the agenda of Polish-American negotiations for some time.

• The Kremlin reacted hysterically to Duda’s words.
• Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused Poland that it had allegedly been pursuing its hostile policy against Russia for a long time, and began to threaten.
• The diplomat noted that in the event of the appearance of nuclear weapons on Polish territory, “the corresponding will immediately join the list of legitimate targets for destruction.”
• At the same time, Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg noted that the Alliance does not yet plan to deploy nuclear weapons on the territory of other countries.
