Export of bloody Russian oil continues to grow

by alex

January 2023. The export of Russian crude oil from the Black Sea under the EU embargo and the price ceiling increased by 25% both in general and to the EU countries.

How Russia managed to increase oil exports

In January, Russian ports in the Black Sea exported 3,668,587 tons of Russian crude oil in January. The growth compared to the results of December 2022, when the EU embargo and the “price ceiling” came into force, amounted to 721,392 tons or 24.48%.

Exports to EU countries under conditions the embargo increased by 255,034 tons, which is 25.02%. In December, it was 1,019,247 tons, and in January it was 1,274,281 tons.

Exports to other countries amounted to 2,394,306 tons, an increase by December – 466,358 tons, or 24.19%.

In a nutshell, in the EU, mainly offshore transshipment takes place in the Gulf of Laconia in the territorial waters of Greece, that is, on the sovereign territory of a country of the European Union. Does the Greek government control this? The question is rhetorical. Some exports to the Netherlands, Spain and Slovenia.

22 tankers went to other countries where there is no embargo, 10 of them belong to owners from Greece. That is, theoretically, they should have adhered to the “price ceiling”, although there is such an expression in Russian: “I am tormented by vague doubts.”

The last time such a volume of exports of bloody oil was in August-September 2022.< /p>
