According to the head of the Sumy OVA Igor Kalchenko, in the morning the Russian enemy launched an airstrike on a healthcare facility in Sumy, using Shahed-type attack drones. Subsequently, a second airstrike took place on Sumy. The Russians hit a residential area with a Shahed.
According to the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko, the Russians struck the medical facility twice. As a result of the first shelling, one person was killed, and the ceiling of several floors of the hospital was destroyed. The evacuation of patients and staff began.

Consequences of the attack on Sumy on September 28
Updated at 10:36. The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that the death toll has risen to seven, with another 12 people injured — all seriously injured.
According to the Ukrainian Health Ministry, among the seriously injured are a doctor and a nurse who were in the emergency room. They are currently undergoing surgery. The hospital's emergency room was destroyed, one of the floors and the roof of the building were partially destroyed.
