Russian terrorists attacked the building of an educational institution in Sumy, namely the center for social and psychological rehabilitation of children and an orphanage. At the moment, there are 18 known victims, including children.

The head of the Sumy city military administration, Oleksiy Drozdenko, reported that the enemy struck an educational institution where the center for social and psychological rehabilitation of children and an orphanage are located.

The Sumy OVA, in turn, reported that Russia carried out an air strike on the center for social and psychological rehabilitation of children and an orphanage, as a result of which 3 explosions were recorded.
On September 2, the State Emergency Service reported that as a result of a missile strike on the premises of the educational institution where the center for social and psychological rehabilitation of children and the orphanage are located, the building was partially destroyed and there was a fire. The blast wave damaged 6 apartment buildings.
The State Emergency Service of the Russian Federation immediately arrived at the scene. At 23:08, the fires that were discovered were quickly extinguished.
A survey of the area where the strike occurred was conducted in parallel. Rescuers went around all the damaged premises and provided assistance to citizens.
The rescuers had to work in compliance with all safety factors, since there were repeated threats of repeated enemy strikes.
According to preliminary information, 18 people were injured, including — 6 children.
