The explosions in Odessa on June 3rd thundered in the middle of the night. Russian troops launched another attack on residential infrastructure.

As of 7:30 a.m., the number of victims had risen to 5. Of these, three were adults and two were children.

A drone attack resulted in an explosion in Odessa today, which caused a large-scale fire in a 9-story residential building.

The fire has engulfed the upper floors from 7 to 9. Rescuers and all emergency services are working quickly at the scene.

According to the State Emergency Service, 50 residents of the house were evacuated. 10 people, including 2 children, were rescued with the help of special equipment.

Five people, including children, were trapped on the upper floors but were freed.

Three victims were hospitalized in city medical facilities.

In total , five people were injured as a result of the shelling, said the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration, Oleg Kiper.

— Five people were injured, two of them — a boy and a girl aged 7 and 9. The children were hospitalized with smoke inhalation. The other adult victims, after receiving all necessary medical care, continue to receive outpatient treatment, — Kiper noted.

Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov announced the creation of an operational headquarters near the site of the tragedy. After dismantling the emergency elements, experts will conduct a full assessment of the building's condition.

— A preliminary inspection showed that one of the front doors was significantly damaged. It is dangerous to be in it. After removing the emergency structures, experts will conduct a detailed assessment of the building's condition — this will help determine further actions, — Trukhanov noted.

A State Emergency Service Insecurity Point has been set up on site, where victims receive psychological assistance.

The building's condition is assessed as emergency – one of the entrances was seriously damaged, entry to it is currently prohibited.
