Suspect in the murder of Farion Zinchenko refused to testify at the trial.

According to Igor Sulima, Zinchenko's lawyer, the suspicion is not justified, and the investigators allegedly did not collect enough evidence to assert that the crime was committed by an 18-year-old boy.

The lawyer asked the judge to limit himself to house arrest for the suspect in the murder of Irina Farion.

The EU allocated Ukraine the first €1.5 billion in frozen assets of the Russian Federation

The European Union allocated Ukraine the first tranche of €1.5 billion from the income from frozen assets of the Russian Federation.

The funds will be channeled through the European Peace Fund to support Ukraine's military potential and the restoration of Ukraine.

—There is no better symbol or use for the Kremlin's money than to make Ukraine and all of Europe a safer place to live, — noted the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

Some of these funds are also intended for purchases by the Ukrainian defense industry.

The situation in Krynki in the Kherson region

The representative of the operational-strategic group of forces Tavria, Dmytro Likhoviy, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to carry out combat missions near the village of Krynki in the Kherson region, despite the fact that it has been practically destroyed by Russian occupiers.

— Ukrainian positions in the village of Krynki were razed to the ground as a result of prolonged and intense enemy shelling and airstrikes. The village itself was almost completely destroyed, Likhovoy said.

According to him, there is no way to hold the line in Krynki, no way to cling to any fortifications, and therefore in the future, Ukrainian defenders are in other specific positions and bridgeheads, as well as on the left bank of the Dnieper.

Israel warned France of the threat of terrorist attacks during the Olympic Games

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz sent a letter to his French counterpart Stephane Sejournay, in which he warned of possible terrorist attacks during the Olympic Games.

In the letter, the head of the Israeli Foreign Ministry noted that “someone is trying to prevent the celebration of this joyful event”, referring to the Olympics in Paris.

— We now have assessments of potential threats from Iranian terrorist groups and other terrorist organizations aimed at carrying out terrorist attacks against members of the Israeli delegation and Israeli tourists during the Olympic Games, — Katz wrote.

It should be noted that France has introduced an expanded security system to ensure the safety of the Olympic Games, which will last from July 26 to August 11.
