Most of them have been in captivity since 2022, the Ukrainian president claims.
“We are doing everything to find everyone, to check the information on each name. We must return all of our people home. Thank you to everyone who helps us with this,” Zelensky emphasized.
The previous stage of the prisoner of war exchange took place on Friday, June 20. Then it was possible to return Ukrainian soldiers from the category of seriously wounded and seriously ill.
As President Volodymyr Zelensky stated at the time, the majority of Ukrainian defenders had been in Russian captivity for more than two years.
