The Lychakivsky court of Lvov issued a guilty verdict in the case against the former people's deputy from the banned party OPZZh Ilya Kiva. The politician was sentenced in absentia to 14 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

- Part 1 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code (high treason, that is, an act intentionally committed by a citizen of Ukraine to the detriment of sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability, defense capability, state, economic or information security of Ukraine by providing assistance to a foreign state in carrying out subversive activities against Ukraine),
- Part 2 Art. 436-1 of the Criminal Code (public use of symbols of the communist totalitarian regime, committed by a person who is a representative of the authorities),
- Article 436 of the Criminal Code (public calls for aggressive war).
The consideration of criminal proceedings was carried out in the form of special judicial proceedings in the absence of the accused, since the latter was hiding in the territory of the Russian Federation.
The court verdict has not yet entered into legal force and can be appealed within thirty days from the date of its proclamation.
Earlier, an ally of ex-People's Deputy Ilya Kiva, who worked for the Russian special services, was caught in Dnepr.
