Ukraine has been fighting against Russia for more than two months now, protecting its people and territory. And he hopes that he will continue to receive assistance, thanks to which he will be able to defeat the Russians.
It is not NATO that helps, but individual countries
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba spoke about the help received by our state from Western partners. According to him, Ukraine receives assistance not from NATO, but from individual countries. Among the main partners are the UK, USA, Poland and Turkey.
The reason why so many people in NATO countries, including politicians, are into Ukraine is because Ukraine is not afraid of Russia. And they are afraid. Everyone wanted to kick Russia's ass. All. But no one dared. And we had no choice, – said Dmitry Kuleba.
No territorial concessions
The Ukrainian diplomat also assured that our country would not make any territorial concessions in the war with Russia. Therefore, this can not even be discussed during the negotiations. After all, Russia is waging a war to destroy Ukraine. So we have no choice but to win this war. After all, this is a matter of life for Ukrainians.
New weapons for Ukraine
Consequently, the question of how long the war will continue depends on when and what weapons Ukraine will receive from partners. Dmitry Kuleba urged to refuse to transfer old Soviet weapons to Ukraine. As an example, he cited a situation where the UK wants to transfer its modern tanks to Poland in exchange for none that Poland transferred to Ukraine. Kuleba urges the British authorities to transfer these tanks directly to Ukraine.
“We can no longer count on the supply of weapons from the Soviet Union to Ukraine. This is the end. End of discussion. We need a comprehensive program for the transition from Soviet weapons to weapons that meets NATO standards,” said Dmitry Kuleba.
According to him, Ukraine now needs multiple launch rocket systems more.
Modern weapons for Ukraine
Ukraine already begins to receive modern weapons for the war against Russia. If earlier these were anti-tank missile systems (for example, the American FGM-148 Javelin or the British NLAW), now we are talking about more powerful weapons.
The United States and Canada transferred the 155-millimeter M777 howitzer to Ukraine.
From France, we received a 155-mm Caesar self-propelled artillery mount.
The Netherlands promised to provide Ukraine with the same caliber PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzer.
