Russian propaganda, which for years has been broadcasting myths about a “freezing Europe” with its “exorbitant tariffs” on TV screens, is now itself faced with the need to justify a record increase in tariffs in Russia itself.

Since July 1, prices for housing and communal services in the Russian Federation have increased by an average of 12%.

In some regions, the increase exceeded 25%, and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, prices for certain services jumped up to 31%.
The State Duma tried to explain the situation with the usual clichés, saying that the reason was the “wear and tear of the Soviet-era infrastructure,” which should be updated at the expense of the population.
However, such arguments look absurd against the backdrop of the Kremlin’s colossal expenditures on the war against Ukraine.
– Such statements from representatives of the Russian government, which is spending an astronomical budget on the war against Ukraine, sound absurd. After all, instead of modernizing their own infrastructure, they actually invested huge amounts of money in destroying the Ukrainian one. And for these economic decisions of the Kremlin, Russians once again have to pay out of their own pockets, – noted the CPD.
Let us recall that the Center for Countering Disinformation reported that Russia is reducing the number of people unfit for military service.
According to the order, by 2030 the proportion of people unfit for military service should be no more than 17.5%, and by 2036 – only 16%.
