Russian bosses, performers and those who supported the occupation are involved in crimes in Ukraine. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Zelensky: From order to execution there is a distance at which corpses
The head of state expressed the corresponding position in an interview with the American CBS television channel. Zelensky answered the question of whether Russian President Putin should be held accountable for war crimes in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian president stressed that everyone who gave and followed orders was involved in the war. Accordingly, everyone should be punished.
I think that everyone who made this decision, gave orders, carried out everyone involved in this, Zelensky said.
The head of state stressed that there are people in Russian politics who “voted for annexation, for the occupation of our territories.” Zelensky is convinced that they are also to blame.
It follows from the president's words that every Russian invader is responsible for his decisions. As Zelensky noted, “there is a distance from an order to execution, at which corpses”, because of this, everyone must answer.
He added that everyone will answer differently. “But there must be responsibility,” he concluded.
