Every day of war weakens it: how the Russian economy is degrading under the pressure of sanctions

by alex

In 2023, the economy Russia has finally begun to show cracks that are noticeable to outside observers. They clearly indicate that the resources of the aggressor country are not unlimited and that sanctions restrictions still work against it.

60~strong> 24 Channel was told about this by investment banker Sergei Fursa. He is convinced that the Russian economy is now at the limit of its capacity, and Vladimir Putin does not have any additional resources to strengthen it.

Economic impact of the war on Russia

In the first days of the war, the Russian economy did not fall. But now everything is moving towards gradual depletion and degradation of the aggressor’s economy, however, without any final point at which it will be blown up.

The Russian economy is truly exhausted, but the sanctions are working. This is indirectly seen in the problems that arise (in the aggressor country – Channel 24) either with gasoline and diesel, or with chicken and eggs. This is evidence of how the Russian economy is “shrinking,” Fursa is convinced.

That is why it is incorrect to say that Russia has a huge amount of resources and is capable of fighting forever . Already, the Kremlin is spending its resources to the maximum on the war, which has a negative impact on its economy.

“Russia is very actively printing money to finance its military needs. Therefore, we see how its inflation is accelerating, although this is not hyperinflation yet,” the investment banker noted.

However, this pressure on the Russian economy will increase and gradually deplete it. In fact, it is becoming weaker every day.

“It should be noted that since the beginning of the war, both Ukraine and Russia have spent on conducting combat operations, plus or minus the same amount. We did this thanks to the support of our Western partners, and Russia – by straining itself to the fullest and using all its resources,” Fursa emphasized.

This is why Russia does not have additional resources to further increase pressure on Ukraine. But if Western partners had increased the amount of assistance to Ukraine, the aggressor would not have had a response.

C what other problems does Russia face

  • Due to sanctions, the terrorist country cannot service the passenger planes it uses for transportation their citizens. Accordingly, Russia has to make considerable efforts to find the necessary aviation parts in third countries, and in addition to the efforts, it also costs 12 billion dollars.
  • The occupiers’ aviation also has problems at the front, where during the last days of December the invaders, due to recklessness, lost 4 fighters, which were supposed to bomb Ukrainian positions with guided bombs.
  • In addition, in response to Moscow’s attempts to circumvent Western sanctions, the United States has already begun to impose restrictions on third parties helping it in this. Accordingly, it will be increasingly difficult for such countries to pass between the drops, and Russia in the future will be limited to the circle of states of the “axis of evil”.
