On the night of July 8, the enemy launched four S-300/400 missiles and 54 drones of various types at Ukraine — the air defense managed to shoot down 34 enemy UAVs. Over the past 24 hours, 188 combat clashes were recorded at the front. The most difficult areas remain Pokrovskoe, Novopavlovskoe, Limanskoe, Yuzhno-Slobozhanskoe. Russian losses in one day amounted to 1,070 people.

A man was shot dead in Kyiv
On the morning of July 8, in the Desnyansky district of Kyiv, an unknown person shot and killed a man.

According to law enforcement, an unknown person approached a car parked on the street with a man inside and fired a gun. He fled immediately after the shot. The man in the car died on the spot.
Police officers are currently working at the scene to establish the identity of the perpetrator.
Explosion in the suburbs of Nikolaev
At night, the enemy attacked the Vesnyanskaya community in the Nikolaev region with Shahed-131/136 drones. As a result, a man was wounded in the village of Nadbuzhskoye.
After the strike, Shakhedov set fire to two summer houses and dry grass. The State Emergency Service rescuers extinguished the fires.
In addition, on July 8 at 03:32, one enemy FPV drone struck the waters of the Ochakiv community. There were no casualties.
Explosions in Kherson on July 8
The explosions in Kherson occurred at dawn. First, the Russians attacked two men with drones, both were injured – one of them is in hospital.
At about 5am, an enemy airdrop attacked a woman born in 1960. She has multiple wounds and is in serious condition in hospital.
Also, as a result of enemy shelling of the Korabelny district of Kherson, the contact network was damaged. The movement of trolleybus 4 was temporarily stopped.
Enemy attacks in the Dnepropetrovsk region
According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA, Serhiy Lysak, attacks on the Nikopol district continued at night. The Russians fired artillery and FPV drones.
The Nikopol, Marganetskaya, Mirovskaya and Pokrovskaya communities were hit by the enemy. A 37-year-old man was wounded. He is in hospital in a moderate condition.
The car was also damaged by enemy fire.
Drone attack on Kramatorsk
At night, an enemy FPV drone attacked the outskirts of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region.
At approximately 02:00 on July 8, a Russian FPV drone struck a car service station near Kramatorsk. Fortunately, there were no casualties, the city council reported.
