Drone attack
The drone attack lasted from 20:30 on December 31 to 09:35 on January 1.
During this time, the Russians launched 111 Shahed-type attack drones and other types of UAVs from the Russian cities of Bryansk, Orel, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from temporarily occupied Crimea.
Ultimately, air defense eliminated 63 attack drones UAVs.
They were shot down in Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zaporizhia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky, Kirovohrad and Mykolaiv regions.
Another 46 drone imitators were lost, the remaining two drones flew to Russia and Belarus.

Stopping gas transit through Ukraine
At seven in the morning of January 1, a historic event occurred – in the interests of national security, gas transit through Ukraine was stopped.
The gas transportation system of Ukraine is operating in the absence of Russian gas transit mode.
Infrastructure The gas transportation system was prepared in advance for operation in zero transit mode and reliable gas supply to Ukrainian consumers, the Ministry of Energy emphasized.
