Vereshchuk asks people to gather more actively for evacuation in Berdyansk/Collage of Channel 24

The Ukrainian authorities are trying their best to organize the evacuation of people from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. We are working hard on this every day.

The next evacuation for today, May 4, was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk. People should be evacuated from Berdyansk to Zaporozhye.

Where exactly will the evacuation take place

According to Vereshchuk, people need to gather on the Lunacharsky ring, located near Berdyansk.

I ask you to quickly gather at the evacuation point. There will definitely be an evacuation,” Irina Vereshchuk called.

What is happening in Berdyansk

The port city in Zaporozhye was temporarily occupied by Russian invaders. People are terrorized. Where the territory of Ukraine was occupied by the Russians, they go to people and look for activists, public figures, mayors and participants in the ATO/JFO. They are taken prisoner to be mocked.

However, in Berdyansk there is an active resistance of people who commit partisan actions against the Russian invaders. Earlier it was reported that in Melitopol in Zaporozhye, it was the partisans who killed 70 invaders. Now, in Berdyansk, locals were reporting shots near the port. The Zaporizhia OVA assured that it could be people's resistance.

At the same time, the Russians will continue to “amaze” with their actions and with a contingent of collaborators and traitors to Ukraine, whom they put in high positions in the temporarily occupied cities. For example, in Berdyansk, a cleaner headed the local registry office.

Evacuation of Ukrainians from the temporarily occupied territories

  • As Irina Vereshchuk reported, one of the most difficult directions is the evacuation from Mariupol, in particular, from the Azovstal plant. It is also difficult to break through an evacuation corridor for residents of the Kherson region. The region was actually blocked by Russian infidels.
  • According to the mayor of Mariupol, Vadim Boychenko, more than 200 people are hiding at Azovstal. In total, the city still has more than 100 thousand inhabitants. They also want to evacuate, but the Russians do everything to prevent this.
  • On May 3, those who managed to be evacuated from Azovstal arrived in Zaporozhye. Unfortunately, not all buses arrived. Only 3 out of 14 agreed. The rest of the Russian invaders decided to leave in filtration camps. How long this process will last is unknown.
