Artemsol stopped working during the war/From open sources
Due to the active attacks of the Russian occupiers in the Donetsk region, the State Enterprise Artyomsol, the largest enterprise in Europe for the extraction of rock salt, stopped its work. The shortage of products is already noticeable not only in Ukraine – the company was engaged in the export of salt to different parts of Europe.
Salt from the manufacturer is no longer in neighboring Bakhmut, where the Russians are also actively destroying all missiles and shells. The enterprise stopped for an indefinite time.
The acting director of the institution Viktor Yurin declared about the simple state enterprise Artyomsol.
The enterprise does not work, it is idle according to the order until an indefinite time. Shelling is constant, the administrative building is partially destroyed. There were direct hits in the mines, the material composition. The production process is impossible, – he said in a conversation with Free Radio.
Yurin noted that “Artyomsol” will not endanger people, especially since most of the workers have already evacuated from Soledar, where the enterprise is located.

In addition, the infidels also got through the Salt Symphony speleosanatorium, the only sanatorium in Ukraine that specialized in the prevention of diseases of the bronchi, lungs and thyroid gland. At the same time, Yurin declares that the speleosanatorium is not a structural unit of “Artemsol”,
According to Yurin, none of the workers of “Artemsol” was injured or died.
Among our workers who were at the enterprise, there were no victims. But I know about several people who were injured at home,” the acting director said.
The enterprise is worthless if the railway is standing
The work of “Artemsoli” was stopped back in April, because then it was no longer possible to export products from Soledar by rail. are fired upon regularly. “Artyomsol” is mainly focused on the shipment of products by rail. By road, we can export only a small part, – said Yurin.
Salt shortage in Ukraine and the world
Stocks of finished products for sale, the company took to retail chains back in April. At the same time, in some stores there is a shortage of salt from this manufacturer. In the neighboring town of Bakhmut, the Artyomsol chain store no longer has the usual rock salt – there is only pink, “Himalayan” salt.
In order for salt to be sold, it must be produced. In what shops salt of the enterprise, probably, is. I met in Kyiv, in Vinnitsa. But Turkish, Romanian salt appeared … While the battles are ongoing, they will have to be replaced with imported ones, – said Yurin.
At the same time, he noted that foreign consumers would also feel the stoppage of production – Artyomsol was the leader in the production of rock salt in Europe .
We were the largest salt miner in Europe. Among our regular customers are Hungary, Poland, Georgia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Romania, – said Yurin.
The acting director of the enterprise assured that nothing threatens salt deposits underground – provided that they are not specifically blown up mines.
With a sense of bitterness, indignation and hopelessness, this is a nightmare. This is an enterprise to which each employee has given several decades, on average, each separately worked there for an average of 20 years. And with the feeling that we will definitely return here, rebuild and expand. Everything will be Ukraine – we will be back anyway! Andrey Popov, head of the Artemsol Workers' Union, reassured.
