On Saturday, May 11, thousands of people came to Europe Square in Tbilisi. Once again they are protesting against the adoption of the scandalous law on “foreign agents”.
This action in the capital of Georgia was announced as perhaps the largest of all the protests against the law “On Transparency of Foreign Influence”.

At about 19:00, the media reported that the right and left embankments were blocked, Rustaveli Avenue was blocked. Columns of those who are against the law on “foreign agents” united into one common “European March” on Europe Square.

The protesters began to gather in three different places. From there we went to Europe Square with the flags of Georgia, the EU, the USA and Ukraine. We also visited the office of the ruling Georgian Dream party, where dozens of police were on duty.

Europe Square in Tbilisi is completely filled. The footage released shows that a lot of people had gathered. The media write that the number of participants can reach tens of thousands.

Writer Lasha Bugadze reported that opponents of the law on “foreign agents” will spend the night of May 12-13 near the parliament building Georgia. He also invited the participants of the action to “look into the eyes” of the deputies of the ruling party.
It is known that a meeting should take place on Monday, May 13, at 9 am (local time) the legal committee of parliament, which will discuss the scandalous initiative. The session and voting of parliament in the final – third reading should take place on May 14.
