Podolyak spoke about the results of 3 months of the war/Office of the President
It has been almost 3 months since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. However, Europe continues to send the aggressor country a billion euros a day, buying oil and gas.
This was stated by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak. At the same time, Russia does not stop cynically killing Ukrainian children, raping women and destroying cities.
However, according to Podolyak, Ukraine continues to defend European borders and democratic civilization. Given this, the adviser to the head of the OPU called on everyone to draw conclusions on this situation.
The third month of Russia's invasion of Ukraine is coming to an end. Europe continues to send a billion euros a day to Moscow, buying oil and gas,” Podolyak said.
What is the situation with the oil embargo
The European Union still cannot impose an oil embargo against Russia, because this decision must be supported by all member countries. So far, Hungary is blocking it, which wants to receive 15-18 billion euros for its consent. This money is supposedly necessary for the country to rebuild for other oil.
Given this situation, the European Parliament proposed to introduce restrictions without the consent of Hungary.
The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that Europe needs to become independent of Russian fossil fuels as quickly as possible. Therefore, the EU proposes to attract almost 300 billion euros in order to quickly abandon the energy resources of the aggressor country.
