European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said the bloc would increase military support for Ukraine.
This statement was made at a press conference during his visit to Kiev after the US Congress the day before adopted a temporary funding bill that does not provide for assistance to Ukraine.
— We'll see what happens in the US, but from our side we will continue to support and increase our support, — said Borrell, answering a question about voting in Washington.
He also noted that Ukrainians are fighting with all their courage and ability.

In addition, Borrell announced the preparation of long-term security commitments for Ukraine.

Borrell noted that his first personal meeting with Defense Minister Rustem Umerov took place in Ukraine.
