There are many training initiatives in development, but the need is huge. We must ensure that these efforts are coherent. And I can say that all Member States have clearly agreed to launch the necessary work to define the parameters of the EU military support mission for Ukraine,” Borrell said.

Josep Borrell stressed that the ministerial meeting was informal, from -for which there is no official decision to launch the mission. At the same time, he stressed that there is a decision to start preparatory work to create a mission. Borrell also explained what preparatory work entails.

“The preparatory work includes contacts with the Ukrainians on the one hand and the definition of legal and operational parameters on the other hand, in order to define the concept of crisis management, which can lead to a solution. But it is obviously clear that we must be fast and ambitious,” he said.< /p>
