EU agrees to move to speed up accession talks with Ukraine

The European Union agreed to provide Ukraine with an interim assessment of its compliance with the seven criteria received with Candidate status. This step by Brussels should speed up negotiations with Ukraine on joining the EU.

The corresponding decision in the European Union was made following the Ukraine-EU summit.
