On October 18, the Estonian parliament condemned Russia's attempt to annex the occupied Ukrainian territories. The country has declared Russia a state sponsor of terrorism.
“For” voted 88 deputies. There were no “against” or “abstaining” votes.
Estonia recognized Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism
The draft, according to the document, states that the Riigikogu declares the Russian regime as terrorist, and Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism, whose actions must be jointly rebuffed.
The Riigikogu also calls on the international community to approve similar declarations.
In the resolution, the parliament reiterated condemnation of Russian aggression and attempts to annex Ukrainian territory on the basis of pseudo-referendums, emphasizing that Estonia will never recognize this.
In addition, the Riigikogu supports the investigationinitiated by the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court on crimes committed by Russia during the war against Ukraine. The Parliament called for the creation of a special international tribunal to bring to justice those responsible for the crime of aggression.

By the way, the Riigikogu also supports the demand to deprive Russia of the status of a permanent member of the UN Security Council and calls on the EU member states to show unity in the application of additional economic sanctions against the Russian Federation and Belarus.

Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak thanked Estonia for recognizing Russia as a sponsor of terrorism.
