Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said that the idea of sending military personnel to Ukraine has not received any development in their country, as well as at the EU level.
He stated this in an interview with the Estonian ERR.
This was preceded by an article from Breaking Defense with reference to Presidential Security Adviser Madis Rolla that Tallinn “seriously” is discussing the possibility of sending Estonian military personnel to Ukraine.

Pevkur stated that there was no specific discussion of such a possibility within the Estonian government.
— When France came up with the idea of thinking about whether Europe and the Allies could do something more, the idea was mentioned in various discussions, but did not get any traction because so far there is no clear understanding among the allies what this could give. I think that there (in the publication Breaking Defense, — Ed.), perhaps they gave too bold an interpretation to the words of Madis Roll, — said Pevkur.
He added that there is certainly no such initiative on the part of Estonia, and Estonia is certainly not going to do something on its own”.
According to him, the priority now is — sending ammunition to Ukraine, as well as training Ukrainian military in other countries.
