the “ORF” expert and his analytics partner Roman Mählich had let themselves be carried away with a daring bet before kick-off. A rise of Austria's group opponents would have been worth a special performance for the duo.
“There is hardly anything that speaks for Ukraine,” Mählich introduced before the game. And added: “I'll go even further: If Ukraine can manage that, we will moderate the next game in Ukrainian folk costumes.”
Convinced of the success of the “Three Lions”, Prohaska also accepted the strange bet. “Hung up, caught up. What should I do now?” Asked Austria's footballer of the century with a smile. So the bet was on.
But there will be no appearance in the Ukrainian national costume. Because the two experts were right. The “Three Lions” celebrated a clear 4-0 victory.
