The head of the Lugansk police department, Serhiy Gaidai, spoke about the situation in the defense of the Lugansk region in the national marathon, Channel 24 reports.

“The escalation has already begun. It's a difficult situation. But our defenders are holding the line of defense. They repelled the offensive in Rubizhny, Popasnaya. They hold their positions,” Gaidai said about the defense of the Lugansk region.
According to him, on the night of April 19, the number of enemy attacks, shelling and airstrikes increased significantly. However, the Russians were not successful in any of their positions.
