The Ukrainian military does not have enough artillery to fire back
The corresponding information was announced on the Rada channel by NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov, Channel 24 reports. According to him, the situation in the east has been complicated for more than a day.
Speaking of Severodonetsk, Alexey Danilov said that the situation there is “extremely complicated.” The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council noted that the Ukrainian military “keep the situation, but every day it becomes more and more difficult to do.”
He said that the artillery of Russian infidels works around the clock and they cover our settlements. As Danilov said, Ukrainian forces “cannot give such an answer to the enemy that it is enough.” According to him, we can conclude that our defenders do not have enough weapons.
There is an answer, but today it is not what our military would like to have in terms of availability corresponding armed sets of artillery,” concluded the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.
What is known about the situation in Severodonetsk
- On June 7, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that the aggressor army was shelling units of our troops and civilian infrastructure in the Severodonetsk direction. The occupiers fired from cannon and rocket artillery in the areas of the settlements of Lisichansk, Borovskoye and Metelkino.
- The head of the Lugansk regional military administration, Serhiy Gaidai, said that the aggressor's troops were ordered to capture Severodonetsk and cut the Lisichansk-Bakhmut highway. The invaders were ordered to complete these tasks by June 10. For this, Russia gave up all efforts.
- Note that at the end of May, the Russian invaders managed to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Severodonetsk, after which they entered the city. Street fighting continues on the territory of Severodonetsk and the situation is changing every day.
- Earlier, the Institute for the Study of War stated that the pace of the advance of Russian infidels in the Severodonetsk direction has somewhat decreased. The Ministry of Internal Affairs explained that the Russians were probably running out of strength, or they decided to regroup their troops.
