The notorious American billionaire Elon Musk has again outraged netizens with a new statement. The businessman said that he does not understand the meaning of the existence of the North Atlantic Alliance at the moment.

Note that the other day he once again highlighted the anti-Ukrainian statement about war started by Moscow. The businessman publicly agreed that Donbass and Crimea should become part of Russia.

Musk does not understand the meaning of NATO's existence

Elon Musk said on the social network X that he does not yet see the meaning of the existence of the North Atlantic Alliance.

In this way, the businessman commented on the post of pro-Russian businessman David Sachs, who said that after the collapse of the Soviet Union, NATO “faced an existential crisis.”

Pro-Kremlin Sachs claims that NATO, instead of disbanding, allegedly came up with a new mission – to expand, which allegedly created hostility towards itself.

I have always asked the question why NATO continues to exist, since its archenemy and reason for existence, the Warsaw Pact, has collapsed, he wrote.

Users reminded the billionaire that the Warsaw Pact was a reaction to NATO, and not vice versa, and the alliance itself was not created to fight one enemy.

Latvia has already responded

Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics was quick to respond to the American billionaire. He noted that NATO has no plans to cease to exist.

Dear Elon Musk, the reason why NATO was founded exists and will exist – it is Russia and other enemies of the free world, – wrote the head of Latvia on the social network X.

Previously, Musk has repeatedly made loud statements that only played into the hands of Russian propaganda. He did this, in particular, by publishing memes with Zelensky and calling for negotiations with Putin.

This is not the first time Musk has outraged society with his statements

• He recently stated that Ukraine will lose the war in any case, so our state should supposedly conclude a “peace agreement” with Russia. According to him, this should have been done a year ago, and now thousands of children “died for nothing.”
• In addition, the billionaire argued that “in the eastern regions of Ukraine, the majority of the population gives preference to Russia.” The founder of Tesla and SpaceX explained that in this way it is necessary to support the will of people “who constantly live in conflict.”
• Moreover, he voiced an unexpected formula for “peace” between Ukraine and Russia. In particular, he proposed holding another “referendum” and “recognizing Crimea as Russian.”
• Back in October 2023, the founder of Tesla and Spacex, Elon Musk, published a meme about the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. In the note, he ridicules the fact that Ukraine needs financial assistance in the fight against Russian aggression.
