As a result of the rocket attack on Ukraine on October 10, almost all of Lviv was left without electricity, water and communications. However, the public utilities managed to resume the operation of critical infrastructure before midnight.

About this Channel 24said the mayor of Lvov Andrey Sadovy. According to him, as of the morning of October 11, the supply of water and electricity was 100% resumed in the city, as well as all public transport, including trams and trolleybuses, left for their routes.

The Mayor of Lviv noticed that the specialists worked all night. Now oblenergo can fix some other minor problems, and specialists are working on restoring hot water supply.

Also, Sadovyi thanked the people of Lviv for understanding the situation. He said that after the attack, most of the citizens were interested in when the traffic lights would work so that they could move safely along the streets.

We need to be prepared for the worst scenarios

This is the last call for us, even the alarm, because I myself am even scared to imagine , if such an attack would have occurred in a 15-degree frost. – said Sadovy.

That is why he urged to listen to the recommendations given by specialists in preparing for a difficult winter. After all, any repair service, even the most brilliant, needs time to resume work. And since the enemy purposefully hits critical infrastructure facilities, substations, you can’t relax.

“In every house where there is shelter and where there is a technical possibility, it is necessary to equip heating points, as many Lviv residents have already done,” – the mayor stressed.

Sadoviy noted that October 10 showed that many Lviv residents were more or less ready – they had power banks at home, small diesel generators in condominiums, etc. At the same time, others were relaxed and unprepared.

I think this is a pretty big shock, so you need to prepare for tough times. The war continues, and we are in the time of war,” he stressed.

Do not neglect the alarms

Also, the Lviv mayor noted that lately residents of Kyiv and the western regions, for the most part, did not go down to the shelter when they heard the air raid sirens. However, the war has not ended, the threat remains, and you need to be careful.

According to Sadovoy, the purpose of such a massive missile attack was to destabilize the situation and sow fear. However, the Russians got the opposite effect – the Ukrainians only got angry, and began to believe and support the APU even more.

We need to drive them into a den, into the taiga, only then we will live, and our children will have a future,” Sadovyi summed up.
