The United States promises a powerful demonstration of support for Ukraine from the United States and its allies.
Countries NATO during the summit in Washington, they will announce the long-term perspective of support for Ukraine, as well as new steps to strengthen our country’s air defense.
This is said in a message Ukrinform, citing a senior official in the US presidential administration.
“Next week, you will see a powerful show of support for Ukraine from the United States and allies. Alliance members will once again reaffirm Ukraine's future in NATO and make important new announcements about how we strengthen our military, political and financial support for Ukraine from NATO,” noted an administration official.
He noted that all these statements will be made within the framework of the “Ukrainian bridge” to membership in the Alliance.
In addition, the NATO-Ukraine Council is scheduled to meet on Thursday, after which the US President will hold a joint event with the President of Ukraine, as well as other partners who have signed bilateral security agreements with Ukraine.
“The United States will also announce new steps to strengthen Ukraine's air defenses and military capabilities to help it defend itself today as well as deter Russian aggression in the future,” the White House spokesman said.
The official also added that at the summit, dictator Putin will receive a “powerful signal” that he will not be able to overpower the coalition of countries supporting Kyiv.
