A large number of deaths and injuries in a rocket attack on a shopping center in Kremenchuk arose from the fact that people neglected the air raid alert. Law enforcement officers will also study the activities of the management of the mall.

In Ukraine, the war has been going on for four months, which Russia started against our state. During this time, the territory of our country was bombarded with rockets more than once. Including Russian infidels launched rocket attacks on those cities that are quite far from the front line. During a missile attack on the territory of Ukraine, an air alert is announced. Turn it on in those regions that may be the target of a missile attack.

During the air raid, everyone must move to cover. And shops and shopping centers – to stop working. At the same time, the management of such institutions is entrusted with the obligation to stop the activities of the shopping center during the alarm and resume such activities after the end of the air raid.

During a missile attack on Kremenchuk on June 27, an air alert was announced in the Poltava region. However, the management of the local shopping center “Amstor” ignored this, continuing to work. Consequently, there were up to a thousand people in the premises of the shopping and entertainment center. Some of them died or were injured when hit by a rocket launched by the Russians.

Important! As of June 28, 20 dead and 59 injured people are already known as a result of a missile attack on the mall in Kremenchug.

“The rules are common for the whole country. They are unchanged – during the air raid you need to go to the shelter. Unfortunately, those people who stayed here during the air raid died precisely because they stayed here, neglecting this warning,” – Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky said while talking to journalists at the site of the destroyed shopping and entertainment center.

At the same time, a shelter was placed near the Amstor shopping and entertainment center. And some of the visitors went there, thanks to which they saved themselves.

The information that the mall worked as usual was also confirmed by the mayor of Kremenchug, Vitaliy Maletsky. It turned out that the administration of Amstor decided not to close during the air raid in the city from June 23.

“There is a war in Ukraine, neglecting an air raid alert is a crime, which was once again shown by the tragedy at Amstor. Therefore, I appeal to establishments of all forms of ownership: during air raid alerts, visitors and personnel should be evacuated to shelters. In case of violation of this requirement, we will take measures, including criminal cases and the closure of establishments,” said Vitaly Maletsky.

Now law enforcement officers will take over the management of the Amstor mall.

“The actions of the administration will be the subject of a separate investigation, and I I will not comment on them now. He will conduct an appropriate study,” said Denis Monastyrsky.

This information was also confirmed by Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova. If the investigation proves that the employees of the shopping center neglected the security measures of people during the air raid, they will be held accountable.

“If there really were certain such violations that could preventively save lives and this did not happen, Of course, there will be prosecution,” said Irina Venediktova.
