In most regions of Ukraine, on the evening of June 7, an air raid was announced due to the threat of a missile attack from Russia. But during the alarm in the Lviv region, the sirens notifying about the threat worked incorrectly.
The software crashed during the alarm
During the air raid in some areas, in particular , Lvov, the sirens did not work. The head of the Lviv regional military administration, Maxim Kozitsky, said that there had been a technical failure.
According to Kozitsky, due to a malfunction, the sirens sounded late in some areas of Lviv. The head of the Lviv Police Department stressed that the system is now operating normally.
The telegram channel “Notification of the Central Guard”, informing about the missile threat, reported that during the announcement of the “air raid” signal, a software failure occurred.
As a result, the warning system of the Lviv region did not work according to the protocol. It is reported that experts have established the cause of the failure, after which the operation of the software has been resumed.
Previous Russian missile attacks on the Lviv region
