The defenders of Mariupol, Zmeiny Island, Bakhmut direction were returned home. In particular, as Andrei Yusov, the speaker of the GUR, said on the air of the telethon, the dog from Azovstal was also returned from Russian captivity, informs Channel 24.

What is known about the legendary dog

Dog Adik of the pit bull terrier breed was evacuated from Azovstal together with the defenders of Mariupol, but then she was taken to Russia.

In June, the invaders abducted him and gave him Kadyrov. The latter renamed Adik Borz and declared that the dog would guard his house.

Who else was released from captivity

On New Year's Eve, the enemy was released from captivity as a result of the exchange of 140 Ukrainian Defenders and Defenders:

• 82 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,

< li>22 National Guardsmen,

• 15 territorial defense soldiers,
• 11 representatives of the Naval Forces,
• 10 servicemen of the State Border Service.

According to Yusov, the soldiers are currently in hospitals and preparing for rehabilitation. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 1,596 Ukrainians have been released from Russian captivity, of which 187 are women.

It should be added that on December 31, during the 35th prisoner exchange, Ukraine returned home 22 Ukrainian officers, 118 sergeants and soldiers.

Moreover, Yusov noted that the relevant authorities are negotiating a subsequent exchange.

Preliminary exchanges of servicemen
